vivo unveiled the X100s and X100s Pro at an event in China on 13 May 2024, with sales starting later that week. Both phones use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+, the fastest MediaTek chip at the time.
Key specs at launch
- Chip: MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ on both models
- X100s cameras: 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, 64MP periscope telephoto, 32MP selfie
- X100s Pro cameras: 1/0.98-inch 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, 50MP periscope
- Display: 6.78-inch LTPO; flat on the X100s, curved on the Pro
- X100s Pro battery: 5,100mAh with 100W charging
- Starting prices in China: CNY 4,000 (X100s), CNY 5,000 (X100s Pro)
The AI part, in plain words
vivo’s AI features centre on the camera: multi-frame processing for night and zoom shots, portrait effects, and AI erase in the gallery. The Dimensity 9300+ can also run some generative AI tasks on the phone itself rather than in the cloud.

Who it suits
The X100s targets photography fans who want a long-reach periscope camera. It launched in China first, so buyers elsewhere should check official availability and warranty before importing one.
